Bursys successfully completes a software development project in Germany. Company completed extensive software development to integrate sorting machines, manual work stations and various other site logistic operations such as receiving and shipping. It had been challenging project due to multi-language aspect of this project, different business environment in Europe, and heavy integration with enterprise accounting systems (SAP FICO) for downloading data and uploading data.
This was a unique project since it involved machine control system integration and enterprise integration all-in-one for a private postal company. Handling large volumes of data at high velocity is name of the game in modern world and Bursys did it successfully!
Bursys software development engineers used HTML5/Hybrid application to deliver intuitive Mobile user interface. This has enabled the workforce on industrial site to be mobile using an Android based Tablet and a small handheld Motorola Bluetooth scanner. The new application has enabled the customer to track the jobs all the way from entry to exit and provide timely data to enterprise systems for billing. The backend system provides secure web RESTful web services that integrate successfully with the mobile user interface. Other role based web user interfaces allow the user to access the system from across the organizational boundaries and overcome the hurdles of traditional desktop based applications.
More accurate and real-time data collected is being analyzed within hours, rather than days allowing the user to make rapid operational decisions.
Bursys software engineers successfully provided onsite support in Germany for the project along with valuable inputs in the design of the software product. Congratulations to all the Bursys team members involved!
