Company History

Founded in 2005, Bursys founder Prat Gupta, Ph.D. started Bursys primarily to build upon enterprise software experience and build a think tank that could keep up with the ever-changing software and enterprise technologies in order to bring the best technology solutions for business problems. Having worked for large multi-national companies like Deloitte, CGI and Sapient in various senior roles, he helped deliver many innovative enterprise scale software development, implementation and integration projects involving global teams to mostly larger companies such as Conoco, Reliant Energy, Halliburton, PG&E, etc.

Since 2005, we have been involved in architecture and design of many software products that have driven massive revenues for our customers. Bursys has delivered hundreds of software projects of all dimensions using cutting edge technologies over time. It is understood that technology changes very fast and we have built a process for constantly keeping up with new technologies and keep innovating new technology solutions for complex problems in B2B space at all levels. We have built the capabilities and processes to leverage the skill sets from around the world as per the demands of the projects. With our global presence, we have built a solid delivery capability throughout North America, Europe and UK. Bursys has grown into a multinational company that can serve global clients in different parts of the world.

In 2008, Bursys started an engineering practice that leveraged the technology advances in 2D/3D and now 4D engineering design. We built upon our software technology and introduced engineering design services using modern tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, Siemen’s Unigraphics NX and so on. Bursys has focused on industrial mechanical/electrical design of new products, design changes in existing machines, reverse engineering and value engineering.

In 2014, Bursys expanded its operations in Europe with a base office in Germany that offers software and engineering services. In the same year, we also expanded our portfolio of services into SAP enterprise systems through affiliation with ERP Experts, LLC (a sister company).

In 2016, Bursys expanded engineering services through business partnership with Dassault Systemes for deeper relationship with its customers in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) domain and further added services for Aveva, Bentley engineering design software.

We have significantly added capabilities into the areas of Internet of Things (IoT), Mobility and Augmented reality (AR) through our suite of products and frameworks. Bursys has developed and spun-off new product lines such as FieldEquip, Bursys Cloud Framework and so forth.
